Always pre-drill with 1/16 "drill bit for snowmobile tracks.
Ease installing and in pre-drilling we are sure we are going to be in the middle of the track and that we are going to go right.
Add soap on the stud treads for better penetration.
For a 120'' track, you need about 180 studs
For 137'' track, you need about 200 studs
For 144'' track, you need about 250 studs
For the pattern of a snowmobile track, take the toughest studs.
The gray part in the picture represents the snowmobile track stud. The iGRiP stud should be inserted as shown in the picture. Only the carbide and the dome section (taper section) should be exposed. The whole hexagon should be embedded.
